Bio Questions: how to write an artist bio
A biography for an artist is a list of achievements, education, awards, exhibitions listed in a chronological order. It has different names in different places. It is sometimes called a CV (Curriculum Vitae) or a Resume. It gives the reader a quick and easy way of getting an idea of your experience and standing as an artist. For the emerging artist it may be short. For the experience artist it may need editing.
The usual length is one page. A reader loses interest if its any longer.
The biography is NOT an artist statement. It is a list, it may also be called a Resume.
