As The Cloud Weeps: Bejeweled Bird by Karrie Ross

Always a great feeling to receive an award for my artwork. The Topanga Canyon Gallery Annual Juried Show 2014 with Juror Jim Morphesis did just that. My piece “As the Cloud Weeps: Bejeweled Bird was awarded 3rd place.

This is one of my new pieces combining paint and ink into what I call ‘surrealistic’ imagery. I find that the displacement of thinking assists in the process of achieving this type of image.
